If freezing temps are in your forecast, the time to act is now!
Winterizing your sprinkler system is essential before freezing occurs. It’s the best way to protect your irrigation investment from potentially serious damage this winter.
But who does your winterizing matters. Be sure to choose a reputable company that will stand behind their work come spring. Every year we see “that guy”. You know, the one with a compressor thrown in the bed of his truck. Buyer beware. What you saved by going with “that guy” could really cost you in spring.
Things to look for:
- Any reputable company will have a professional compressor; these normally have to be towed
- They should have a business name, and ask if they guarantee their work
- They should have a contact number to give you. If you do have problems in the spring, you know who to call.
Michigan weather changes quickly at this time of year, so remember, you are trying to beat first freeze. If you are done watering your grass for the year, then now is the time to call and schedule your appointment. Appointments go quick, so don’t wait for freeze warnings before making the call.
